Batu Capeo
Batu Capeo (Hat Stone) acquired its name from a large rock resembling a hat, located at a popular beach where people can relax and watch the sunset. Batu Capeo is located across the street from Siwalima Museum. Board a Taman Makmur minibus or Amahusu minibus.
Lelisa Beach
Lelisa Beach is in the village of Latu-halat on the cape of Nusaniwe. Neighboring Namalatu beach, it has 16 cottages and also a restaurant. Coral formations just off the white sandy beach are the typical of this shoreline. The water is quite shallow close to the shore, and coral reefs are visible at low tide.
Lelisa Beach is a popular recreation spot for swimming, diving, snorkeling and sun bathing.
One can get there by taking the Latuhalat minibus. Some of the villagers in the surrounding area also provide homestays.
Namalatu Beach
Namalatu Beach is facing the Banda Sea, next to the Lelisa Beach. There are shelters for visitors to enjoy the scene if it is needed.
Tirta Kencana
Tirta Kencana is a resort with hotel / cottages, a restaurant, pub and karaoke. It is located right on the beach of Amahusu village. From here one has a splendid view of the sunset.
This spot is the finish mark of the annual Darwin-to-Ambon Yacht Race, as well as for moorings and post-race events.
It is only about 15 minutes away from the downtown. Take an Amahusu minibus to get there.
The water is beautiful and clear and it is an ideal spot for bathing, swimming, snorkeling and diving. The scenery is very beautiful and attractive. Namalatu is one of the island's diving activity centers.
The name of this beach is derived from Nama and Latu, which respectively means Name and King. Minibuses are easy to catch from the downtown. Just take the Latuhalat minibus. Disembark right in front of the beach.
Tanjung
"Tanjung" is very close to the point of the Nusaniwe cape, a nice site for picnic.
The area and the beach is colored with coconut trees, rocks, dark and sharp coral reefs and the beautiful panorama towards the Banda Sea. You can also see the Alang cape over the rocks. On the top of the Nusaniwe point, one can see "Batu Konde" means Coil stone, a rock resembles a woman's hair coil. One can get there by taking Latuhalat minibus.
Santai Beach
Santai Beach is a resort in Airlouw village, with white sandy beach, cottages, shelters, a small salt water swimming pool for children and a restaurant.
To get to this spot, take the Latuhalat minibus and get off at the Puskesmas (Public Health Centre) in Latuhalat. The beach is a 200-metres walk away to Airlouw village. Only private cars can reach to Santai beach, because there is no public transportation directly to the beach.
Felawatu
Felawatu Beach is on the village of Airlouw; 15 km south of the down town, and can be reached by car. Felawatu Beach has an area of 10.000 km and ideal for garden parties, and a 10 x 20 m meeting room under the shade of trees with a nice breeze from the Banda Sea. The spot is good for swimming and fishing. Parking space is available.
Natsepa Beach
This is the most visited beach on the island of Ambon, only some 14 kms from the centre of town. It has a very shallow beach of more than 30 mtrs wide at low tide.
Natsepa is an ideal spot for recreation activities on the beach and in the water (swimming, rowing, sunbathing, games). Natsepa is famous also with its delicious "Rujak" (Fruit salad).
You can get to this beach by boarding either the Tulehu or the Suli bus.
Honimua Beach
North - east the coast of the Leihitu Peninsula facing Seram island, there is the longest white sandy beach in Ambon island stretching some 4 kms along the coast and very clear water best for swimming. Take the Honimua buses to get there.
Batu Kuda
On the village of Tulehu, 2 kms away from the terminal there is an app. 2 ha area with white sandy beach and beautiful sea gardens, good for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. The environment around is beautiful and still unpolluted. This spot is managed by the local people. There is a nice shelter for take some drinks and snacks.
Manuala Beach
Manuala Beach is an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. It is at Seith village on the north-west coast of the Leihitu Peninsula.
The Seith bus serves the route to Manuala beach.
Pintu Kota
Pintu Kota is a huge hole coral rock with a beautiful surrounding panorama. It lies between Airlouw and Seri villages, on the south - eastern coast of the Leitimor Peninsula.
One can get there by boarding the Seri minibus.
