Reserved Forest
Buru island posses 155.396 ha of reserved forest from the total forest of 833,061 ha, on the south, where there is also 8.818 ha Natural Forest Conservation, of among others are Surea Sp, Voitex Goffasus, Tektonagrandis, Lepiniopsis Ternatensis.
Jikubesar Beach
There are also a spot to distillate the kayu putih (eucalyptus) oil. Here, one can watch the process of kayu putih oil distillation. You can buy the product if you want to. The location of Jikubesar beach is accessible by the public car from Namlea bus terminal then walk for about 200 m to the beach.
Tahilopong Beach
There is a" kettle" a big kettle for eucalyptus oil distillation.
Waimeten Dike
The biggest dike on Buru island located on Waiapu, irrigating the rice field of 18.302 ha large.
The forest of eucaliptus bushes and the Distilled " Kettle".
There are 20.000 ha of eucalyptus bushes with the total production of 360 ton of eucalyptus oil per year, from the total eucalyptus areas of 120.000 ha that grow along the land of north Buru. The eucalyptus leaves are processed through the destilation to be the pure eucalyptus oil and is used to rub the pain bones, the stomach ache that if needed, take some drops with warm water. It is also exported for medicine. The destilations are done by the community, using the traditional tools known as "kettle" spread over the East North Buru Subdistrict.
The Rice Field
An area of 18.302 ha spread over the 13 irrigation areas on the South North Buru Subdistrict around the Waiapu area. This location is accessible by car towards, the transmigration area. In 1997, there was a big harvest time, visited by the Indonesian Minister fi agriculture.
